We promote excellence in multi-family housing management through education, collaboration and resources. Who We Are We are the premier organization representing managers, owners, and professional service providers who are committed to maintaining excellence in affordable housing communities. What We Do We work with State and Federal congressional delegates to support and preserve safe, clean and affordable housing for low-income, elderly and disabled residents. The Affordable Housing Management Association of Washington (AHMA of WA) was incorporated in 1994 as a not for profit organization serving the needs of affordable housing professionals in Washington state. Our members manage approximately 40,000 units of HUD and tax credit financed affordable housing. AHMA sponsors approximately 30 industry trainings each year in addition to the Washington Affordable Housing Management Convention. We have cancelled any in-person events that were scheduled for May and June. Webinars will continue as planned. Update 3/16/20 on AHMA Trainings: All gatherings with over 50 particip ants a re now p rohibited. W e have cancelled any in-person events that were scheduled for March and April. Webinars will continue as planned. We will wait to make a decision on any in-person events in May. AHMA Trainings 3/9/20: AHMA of Washington is monitoring the situation and will follow the guidance of the Washington State Department of Health and local County Public Health agencies. At this time, they are communicating that there is no need to suspend public events. Should their recommendation change in the coming days we will respond accordingly.
